Launch your career in the health care industry with a Medical Office Management degree from Moraine Park.
Medical office managers play a crucial role in the health care industry by planning and coordinating all aspects of medical and health services, including facility operations, clinical departments, and even management of a group practice of physicians.
The program is comprised of a progressive career ladder transitioning from a certificate (Administrative Medical Assistant) --> technical diploma (Medical Assistant) --> associate degree (Medical Office Management).
Medical Office Management students gain knowledge in health care leadership practices, perform quality and risk management assessments, understand medical terminology and human anatomy, practice legal and ethical compliance in a health care setting, use electronic medical record (EMR) software and manage employee relations.

A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.

Program applications are accepted until a week prior to the start of each semester. There are some exceptions for programs or certificates that begin mid-semester.
Some high-demand/limited-enrollment programs reach capacity based on the number of students who complete admission. Applicants are accepted into limited-enrollment programs on a first-come, first-served basis and are admitted from program waitlists as space becomes available.
